Dr. Benjamin W. Wachira is an accomplished Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine who has dedicated his career to advancing emergency care in Kenya. He serves as the Emergency Medicine Program Director at the Aga Khan University in Nairobi, where he trains future emergency care providers and helps shape the direction of emergency medicine in Kenya. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Wachira is heavily involved in policy development and advocacy for emergency care in Kenya. He is a member of the National Emergency Medical Care Steering Committee in the Ministry of Health, where he helps to shape policies and oversee the implementation of emergency medical care across Kenya. Dr. Wachira is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation, an NGO that works to support emergency healthcare providers across Kenya to save lives. Through capacity building, knowledge development, advocacy, and research, the organization helps to strengthen the emergency healthcare system in Kenya and save lives. As a past president of the African Federation for Emergency Medicine, Dr. Wachira has worked to advance emergency care throughout the African continent. He has published widely on emergency care and continues to lead necessary research in this field in Kenya. Overall, Dr. Benjamin W.
